Recipes and Methods for Foods / COUGH SYRUPS
« on: March 23, 2019, 09:56:42 pm »
All these dose at a tablespoon for big kids and adults, a teaspoon for kids.

Cough Syrups
Spicy Honey
2 tablespoons apple cider vinegar
2 tablespoons honey
2 tablespoons water
1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper
1/4 teaspoon ground ginger

(*Pleurisy root optional)
(*Pseudoephedrine/ehpedrine optional)
(*Codiene or laudanum optional)

Place all the ingredients in a small jar and shake to combine. Leave at room temperature for a few days or place in the refrigerator for longer storage. Shake well each time, before using.
The spices will not dissolve into the liquid.
It will not be a thick syrup, it should remain watery.

Pineapple honey
2 thick slices of fresh pineapple, peel removed, but core intact (about two good cups)
1 Tbsp honey
1/2 tsp cayenne pepper (omit or reduce for children)
a thumb sized piece of fresh ginger, peeled and sliced or rough chopped
juice of 1 lemon

(*Pleurisy root optional)
(*Pseudoephedrine/ehpedrine optional)
(*Codiene or laudanum optional)

Cinnamon honey
4 tbsp hot water
2 tbsp apple cider vinegar
2 tbsp honey
1/2 tsp cayenne pepper
1/2 tsp ground ginger
1/2 tsp cinnamon

(*Pleurisy root optional)
(*Pseudoephedrine/ehpedrine optional)
(*Codiene or laudanum optional)

Pineapple by itself is considered a cough syrup, in urgent situations.

*Pleurisy root increases oxgen and is expectorant. Should be calculated @3 drops extract/Tblsp

*Pseudoephidrine should be calculated @30mg/Tblsp (or) 1 tsp strong extract
- pseudoephedrine/ephedrine are the COPD treatment and added when drying and to cope with histamine reaction.

*Codeine should be calculated @5mg/Tblsp (or) 10g plant material, extracted (or) 6 drops laudanum
- Laudanum/Codeine are added to suppress harsh, non productive cough, be anti-inflammatory and induce rest.
BUT they can contribute to congestion & pneumonia. Typically, alternating syrups helps a lot and prevents that.

*All additives can be given separately with the standard syrup, so you don't have to make 12 versions like "Robitussin" does.

Recipes and Methods for Foods / ESSIAC TEA PREPERATION
« on: November 24, 2018, 12:58:42 pm »
*Use NO aluminum pots or utensils - Use stainless, enamel ware or glass

* KEEP REFRIGERATED, handle like ice tea ie, when it clouds and "twangs" discard.

*The most conserving way is to use mason jars, fill hot and screw down lid. They will self seal and keep much longer, letting you open a quart at a time (or) just brew half gallons at a time for fast use. (Cut recipe in half)

Bring 1 gallon of water to a boil. Distilled is best if you have it, but not a big deal.

Stir in a heavy half cup of Essiac tea mix.

High simmer/low boil for 15 minutes, stirring often and scraping down sides.

After 15 minutes, Cover, Remove from heat and let stand overnight

The next day, re-heat to low boil for 10 minutes to sterilize

Pour in jars or container.

ONLY strain with a clean strainer or new cloth...no old filters or cloths (mold!)

Many of us don't even strain it, the "sludge" goes to the bottom and can even be used as a poultice with good effects.

USE 1 to 3 ounces, 1 to 3 times a day, by condition and preference. Examples: Cancer = 3 times a day. Diabetes = Twice typically.

WARNING! IF YOU MIX THE MUSHROOM/TEA PROTOCOL WITH DIABETIC DRUGS, YOUR SUGAR WILL BOTTOM OUT.
USE ONE OR THE OTHER, NOT BOTH, UNLESS ADVISED BY YOUR DR OR A CHURCH HEALTH OFFICER.
(Our medicines are potent. Numerous diabetics avoid pills with essiac and mushrooms. But one or the other, not both)

Cancer and diabetes? Consult for individual case and protocol.

Fireflies

Not every Shiner knows that they shine,
No Temple but Faith,
Scrolls left all behind -
Not every Shiner knows that they shine.

But their eyes stretch out longer
and their head out behind
They wander the wastelands neither
sighted nor blind
the itch it still scratches
though love they may find
not every Shiner knows that they shine.

Does God gift with birth
such long and tall things for the sound
of the chords it plays on our strings?
In the places between that exist for such beings
do we take forth our food -
or give back our sings?

An anthem of glory or
a long woeful whine -
not every Shiner knows that they shine
or sees the bright glow in
their tracks left behind ~

This is a therapeutae congregation with missions in numerous places.

They have several sites, this is thier monastic page
http://smokh.org/monastic.php

(Our missions need to do more it seems? Are we the Yogi Bears of Therapeutae?)

On medicine, here is thier intro/basis page on that
http://smokh.org/medschool.php

But I just saw these - by all means, inquire of them or one of them.
If it pleases God, one of us will also be one of them soon I think? Old Drs and new tricks? :)

Church Matters / Basis of Laws
« on: November 08, 2018, 03:24:15 pm »
The commandments God gave Noah when he landed on dry ground again.

1) Not to worship idols.
2) Not to curse God.
3) To establish courts of justice.
4) Not to commit murder.
5) Not to commit adultery.
6) Not to steal.
7) Not to eat flesh torn from a living animal.

The Ten Commandments

I am the Lord thy God, thou shalt not have any strange gods before Me.”

This commandment forbids idolatry, the worship of false gods and goddesses, and it excludes polytheism, the belief in many gods, insisting instead on monotheism, the belief in one God. This commandment forbids making golden calves, building temples to Isis, and worshipping statues of Caesar, for example.

“Thou shalt not take the name of the Lord thy God in vain.”

The faithful are required to honor the name of God. It makes sense that if you’re to love God with all your heart, soul, mind, and strength, then you’re naturally to respect the name of God with equal passion and vigor.

“Remember to keep holy the Sabbath day.”

The Jewish celebration of Sabbath (Shabbat) begins at sundown on Friday evening and lasts until sundown on Saturday. Catholic, Protestant, and Orthodox Christians go to church on Sunday, treating it as the Lord’s Day instead of Saturday to honor the day Christ rose from the dead.

“Honor thy father and mother.”

This commandment obliges the faithful to show respect for their parents — as children and adults. Children must obey their parents, and adults must respect and see to the care of their parents, when they become old and infirm.

“Thou shalt not kill.”

The better translation from the Hebrew would be “Thou shalt not murder” — a subtle distinction but an important one to the Church. Killing an innocent person is considered murder. Killing an unjust aggressor to preserve your own life is still killing, but it isn’t considered murder or immoral.

“Thou shalt not commit adultery.”

The sixth and ninth commandments honor human sexuality. This commandment forbids the actual, physical act of having immoral sexual activity, specifically adultery, which is sex with someone else’s spouse or a spouse cheating on their partner.

“Thou shalt not steal.”

The seventh and tenth commandments focus on respecting and honoring the possessions of others. This commandment forbids the act of taking someone else’s property. The Catholic Church believes that this commandment also denounces cheating people of their money or property, depriving workers of their just wage, or not giving employers a full day’s work for a full day’s pay. Embezzlement, fraud, tax evasion, and vandalism are all considered extensions of violations of the Seventh Commandment.

“Thou shalt not bear false witness against thy neighbor.”

The Eighth Commandment condemns lying. Because God is regarded as the author of all truth, the Church believes that humans are obligated to honor the truth. The most obvious way to fulfill this commandment is not to lie — intentionally deceive another by speaking a falsehood. So a good Catholic is who you want to buy a used car from.

“Thou shalt not covet thy neighbor’s wife.”

The Ninth Commandment forbids the intentional desire and longing for immoral sexuality. To sin in the heart, Jesus says, is to lust after a woman or a man in your heart with the desire and will to have immoral sex with them. Just as human life is a gift from God and needs to be respected, defended, and protected, so, too, is human sexuality. Catholicism regards human sexuality as a divine gift, so it’s considered sacred in the proper context — marriage.

“Thou shalt not covet thy neighbor’s goods.”

The Tenth Commandment forbids the wanting to or taking someone else’s property. Along with the Seventh Commandment, this commandment condemns theft and the feelings of envy, greed, and jealousy in reaction to what other people have.

Church Matters / Prayers for Res the Big Black Lab requested
« on: November 06, 2018, 09:55:00 pm »
Res was finally able to get his assay and it was not what they thought. His heart is enlarged (so true at every level) but they told us he has cancer and now all his care is shifted in that direction.
Please pray for his healing and comfort as we help him fight this condition. We pray for him every day more than once.

If you can help with his care costs, the Church is still paying on $500 to CareCredit, needs to buy Res's medicines and diet and also pay for his cbd, which is challenging.
Res is happy and active and as long as that is so, we will be his friends and strive to get his things. Against all prognosis's, he could fool them in a year.
Thank you for you prayers.

General Open Discussion / Thank You God
« on: November 05, 2018, 04:10:41 pm »

"Thank you G-d for the good days you have given me and the largeness you made of my heart by the miraculous works of your hands; the garden you gave us to dwell in, all it's creatures and our people that love you by showing it in the labours of thier self and hands.
Thank you G-d for dogs and cats and the hearts of children new to the world, wanting love and loving good things; for all that was wholesome, authentic and edifying; for blue sky days, rivers, lakes and green trees; for every flower and herb that protects, saves, gives strength, easement and comfort to your humble mortal creatures; for the vastness of your creation that we may wonder and rejoice in all the days you give us.
Thank you G-d for all that is beyond words in us and the silent song of our souls resounding in the heavens; thank you that we are born feeling you are true and giving us the strength to keep our souls in the ravaging of the ruthless world that everyday smashes at our hearts and punishes our flesh; our strength and healing is in you and the works of your hands. Thank you for your son who calls us to be living sacrifices of prayer and good works. Thank you for the gifts you give that we can give again to our families and people, every genius divine, every good skill, every truer knowing; the works of our hands that please you lord, that we may know peace and plenty in the patient waiting and watching for thee.
Cover us oh G-d; grant us shelter under the wings of your mercy; for we have looked for you most Holy one and our souls grope in darkness, hoping to find grace of thee and thy forgiveness."

"Holy is G-d, the Father of all things; the One who was before the first beginning. Holy is G-d, whose will is performed and accomplished by His own Powers which He hath given birth to out of Himself. Holy is G-d, who has determined that He shall be known, and who is known by his own, to whom he reveals himself. Holy art Thou, who by Thy Word hast established all things. Holy art Thou, of whom all nature is the image. Holy art Thou, whom the inferior nature hast not formed. Holy art Thou, who art stronger than all powers. Holy art Thou, who art greater than all excellency. Holy art Thou, who art better than all praise. Accept these humble sacrifices from a pure soul, and a heart stretched out to Thee."
